Welcome to the Innovation and business development division that ignites research, innovation and entrepreneurship. Our vision is to spearhead innovation and industrialisation and grow entrepreneurial thinking and action in support of NDS1 and vision 2030. Across all divisions and departments, without leaving anyone behind, we emphasize on innovations, investments and new business ventures among students and staff. The department seeks to nurture the spirit of continuous innovation and creativity to enable the continuous development of new business models, processes, ideas, goods and services and turning these into viable business opportunities. At the core of our mandate, we seek to promote a culture of entrepreneurship, where students and staff generate sustainable business ideas, use local resources and turn them into goods and services to meet community needs and build successful businesses. Through consortiums and brigades, students are nurtured to form business startups, industrialise, commercialise and create wealth for themselves and generate income for the institution.
