Situated at "Baghdad" is a growing department full of vision, focus and energy. By the way, this is not in Iraq, but at the South East of Kwekwe Polytechnic Campus. It's the Quantity Surveying Department. In September, under the auspices of Mr Mpofu, a total of 60 NC 1:1 Quantity Surveying students were ushered to Chahwanda Stadium Construction site along Kwekwe -Gokwe centre road. It's a spectacular architectural masterpiece which is threatening to positively change the socio-economic landscape of Kwekwe, Midlands Province and the Nation at large. Our students had a first hand appreciation of architectural designs and their interpretation, structural engineering issues and bill of quantities amongst others. With the growing of infrastructure in our nation, not forgetting the recently commissioned Trabablous Interchange, we need to train more and more competent Quantity Surveyors.
